A ZEALOUS INVITATION

வணக்கம்,
Vanakkam,
नमते
யாதும் ஊரே யாவரும் கேளிர்
हर स्थान अपना शहर है और हर व्यक्ति अपना संबंधी है
(Tamil Sangam Literature Pura Naanooru, Poem 192)

This is the philosophical long poem written in Tamil Sangam Literature Pura Naanooru 3000 years ago by Kaniyan Poongundranranaar, meaning “Every place is ours and everyone is our kith and kin.

With this Zealous philosophic ancient cultured wisdom, I am extremely happy to welcome you all to the place which is one of the ancient in civilization and literature also the place which first ignited the freedom struggle in India against British. The Indian history starts with the Indus Valley Civilization which clearly and scientifically depicts the distinct Dravidian race which is the first civilization of India.

Sir John Marshal, the Director General of Indian Archaeological Society at Simla declared the fact and it was published in Illustrated London News in September 1924.

Before the discovery of the Indus Valley Civilization, it was customary to associate any discussion of culture, civilization, or related concepts in the Indian subcontinent with the Vedic Age and its intellectual traditions. However, the cultural remains unearthed at Harappa and Mohenjo-daro suddenly emerged with the power to challenge such long-held assumptions. The discovery of the Indus Valley Civilization pushed back the origin of ancient Indian civilization by about 1,500 years beyond what had previously been considered the Vedic period.

After that the period jumped back to 5000 years with the excavation of so many materials and document. The excavation continues in Tamil Nadu at Keeladi, Athichanallur, Korkai, Thondi, Musiri, Sivakalai, Azhagankulam, Kodumanal and Mayiladumparai around Madurai.

Our temples are the monuments of our rich heritage architectural marvel and documents of our history. Some temples like, Airavatesvara Temple at Dharasuram has depicted the history in serial sculptures. Lot of lands were donated for maintenance of the temple and feed the poor (Annadhanam).

The tradition of Jallikkattu continuous from the ancient days to update.

The Universal Guide Thirukkural by Thiruvalluvar says

What does a man gain from his wisdom If he pines not at others’ pain as his own?

We the medical fraternity is blessed with the opportunity to understand and alleviate the cohuman sufferings.

With this tradition, I feel honoured to welcome you all to Thanjavur the well-known place of hospitality and brotherhood.

The organizing committee is taking its best effort to fulfil the scientific exchange of knowledge to match the AI Era. We can enjoy the best south Indian delicacies and entertainment and densest temples and hill stations within 250 Km radius around the venue which will be memorable in your lifetime.
